Unfortunately, I think you are correct. In Japan a year ago, a respected institute created the Rydan Dual Carbon battery which was suppose to have great potential, and nothing has been heard of it.

There are plenty of these "breakthroughs".

Tesla Motor's Gigafactory will create some breakthroughs in lower battery cost and range. The 2017 Tesla Model 3 is scheduled soon as a more affordable to the masses EV with some style, build quality, and some decent range at 250-300 miles per charge.

The StartEngine website has multiple offerings by multiple companies. There is a category "Documentation" for each. Under this, two companies have documents with the signature of a state official of the state of Delaware. One has a signed statement from the person in charge of the company. One has nothing. Elio Motors has the single word "test".

Anyone else notice the StartEngine site removed the investor's link? The one that listed all the people interested in investing and their profile pictures. I really liked viewing that to see who else was willing to invest and see how many people were added each day.

Welcome Evarance, I was just checking that out yesterday and counted ABOUT 2,520 want-a-be- investors, about 11am. So sad, but then again maybe they will count them for us.
