I am considering building an Elio sanctuary, where one can contemplate a graven image of the Almighty Elio in a peaceful, quiet environment. Now that we have established that Elioism is a religion, there are tax advantages to be had, and ordinations to be made....perhaps an Eliophet who could perform unions of Eliophants who will ride off into the sunset, tandemly, with Tesla hubcaps rattling behind.
But. like everything else, all this will, of course, cost money. For each $100 you send, you will get a T-shirt with a receipt silk-screened right onto your shirt, demonstrating to all who see it that you are a humble, righteous supporter of the cause. All funds not required for overhead will be applied to the building of the sanctuary.:D

And here all of this time I thought worshipers of Almighty Elio were called Eloi and made sacrifice to the Morlocks when the great doors opened and the gong sounded.

How about having services down (up for you) at Eliophant Rocks State Park?

[Seriously...That's a great little drive from there to Lesterville going the back way. :)]

My Mother-In law "had" her entire retirement savings in GM bonds . Lost her blouse as this administration promised to save GM on the backs of share holders and tax payers. GM went bankrupt shortly after the bailout and restructure anyway . What did they save ?
Sorry for her loss. We could debate what was saved, but it wouldn't matter much to you or your Mother-In Law.

When a company goes bankruptcy, the debts, including bonds, get washed out. That's the point of bankruptcy. They saved the automotive industry in the United states, which I think was a big deal.

The point of bankruptcy is to wash out the debt and give the company a fresh start. the right to go bankrupt is enshrined in the Constitution.
