good job. I was going to hold off until later, but I think i'll go early too and just deal with traffic on the way back. maybe see you there, i'll be riding a blue and white motorcycle. keith

Take a good look and ask lots of questions to post here .... my work schedule won't allow me to attend this event.
Will be waiting for the next Portland showing.

I called the hotel this morning and they don't know a thing about it. I've stayed at this hotel before and if it's a parking lot event, that lot isn't very big.
But .......
I went back and looked at the date in an early post EM put up about this event; they had the date as Aug 7 - 9 which would be this coming weekend. It wasn't until they filled in the details that the date changed. I don't know if I want to call back to the hotel and sound like a dummy asking about the weekend date after spending the bunch of time I did with them this morning. Might just wait a few hours and call back.
And ....
I also emailed EM help desk and asked about it; including that the hotel knows nothing about it. Wonder if they'll get it in time.

Glad I read this. I texted my son this morning to let him know about "today's" event.....just called to let him know of the change. He has been wanting to see it but his wife says she wouldn't want to be seen driving one. Hopefully, she will be willing to "see it in person".

The event for today is ON ! It will be there tomorrow also
I've already been and back; for anyone going they have the display behind the hotel, you can see the Elio trailer if you come in from the street on the east side of the hotel in back (basically the SE corner of their lot); no the front desk has no idea about it.
When I was there, there were about 40 people; pretty good for 3:00pm traffic wasn't bad but then again, it was 3:00.
I spent a lot of time talking to Neil and have a lot of answers to the questions people had me ask.
I'll be posting those later this afternoon/evening.

I got there at about 4:00pm and there were about 15 people or less waiting to sit in P4... I don't know why I went... I know almost everything about the Elio..... because I check here, almost all the time... just to see what is happening... Pro's and Con's....

I guess I just needed to sit in it again... to remember how it feels to sit in a Elio... I am 6'2... 230lbs.... it just felt right... I can see myself driving this all over the US...

I was talking to a nice guy in line, who said he had placed a $1000 down and got a T-shirt... but he had no idea what his production number was???

I was surprised... and a little shocked... as was Neil... he laughed and said aah... the dreaded production number... Neil then told him that EM would contact him 60-90 days before his production date to get the list of options, color he wanted....

So I said that would mean I will be getting a call in about 10 months.... with a number of 2225... Neil just laughed again and said... just got to wait and see....

When I asked would I have to pay shipping charges, when I pick mine up at the plant, I was told at first " No "... then I was told by someone else yes... kind of.... not set in stone yet...

They did say that the E series Elio's....some of them would be made for just for testing, plus others for show and tell... all would be made at the same time... so it will not take 20 weeks to make them.... also hinted at plant opening in January for production starting in July... ( not a fact )

I don't know if this has helped the waiting... But... I am in for the long ride.... after all.... I am a member of the Elio Nation... like the rest of you....

I like what Neil mentioned about another aspect of delivery; they are talking about offering To Your Door Delivery
The number he said that he thought he heard was "$60 - $70 besides the delivery to the general area.
