Typically, the production year starts about October of the previous year. For example, the 2016 Ford model year will most likely start in October of 2015.
October? Where have you been, now it starts in August with early roll outs and the "model year end close out events" so dealers can dump old inventory.
The 2016's have been out here for the last month+.
Gone are the days you would go to a dealership in September to try and get a peek at the new models coming out.
The 2007 Magnum I just sold; I bought in May of 2007 as a used car. Looking at the VIN Build Tag it showed it had been built in August of 2006 it is was titled as a 2007 model year car.
The world is just moving to fast for it's own good any more.
It was one of the best highway cars I've ever owned; but since I no longer do long distance driving, it was time for it to have a new home.I love the Magnum....total Dad Wagon.
