Since we're all talking about increasing HP and spare no expense...will the biggest motorcycle engine be possible to fit on our ELIO? Just asking.

If the production intake and exhaust manifolds are anything like the ones in the P5 there's probably not much benefit to be had from replacing them. They look to be rather free-flowing designs as-is. It's nothing like the 300 inline six I have in my old Ford. That thing had log style manifolds and a tiny 1-barrel carb. Replacing the manifolds and adding a new 4-barrel carburetor to that should add ~60 hp and ~115 lb-ft of torque to that motor.

I agree, for the most part exhaust and intake changes have very little impact. You do however get a more aggressive sound and many times the dreaded highway drone. Remember the higher the compression the more benefit you will get from tuning for premium fuel. IE a 9 to 1 will not benefit as much as a 12 to 1 compression engine.

Had the pleasure a few days ago to go to a Street Twin unveiling. The new entry level Bonnie lost HP but gained Torque. I am willing to bet I will love it when I get a chance to ride it rather than just sit on it or listen to it run...

I do have a deposit on an Elio the bike is just a few bucks more...
