I already have a piece of wood grained rigid panel that will be the main panel.

If my Elio has an Elgin dash my first project will be the retrofit of a new custom analog dash. I'll not tolerate that ignorant looking Elgin any longer that it takes to be rid of it.

Well with the statement we got from Jermaine from the EM tour group, it's starting to look like mine are going to be going to the folks that want a very personalized set of gauges, that is if EM is really going to stick with the analog gauges like they have in the E1C

If EM wasn't going to dump the Elgin gauges, why would Jermaine make the effort to say they would? Can someone explain the motivation for having an EM representative be misleading about something as trivial as the type of speedo/tach gauges to be used in the production Elio? How could it make any sense to do that?

We have all heard comments that "later" prove to be false. This doen't mean they "lied" it means they decided to follow a different path. The final goal is still the same. Please remember that this is a NEW startup, and some things are (always) "in flux". As EMs Legal department reminds us at the end of every email....some, "forward looking/thinking" statements are going to happen. :D

Agreed, their AutoCycle, their choice on what stays, what goes, and any changes they decide to make.
You can always personalize it after you take delivery.
