Delaware, Ohio and have to commute to downtown Columbus so on a good day about an hour commute. I currently spend about $250 for gas for my commute only per month. And that is with a 4 cylinder truck. Even my motorcycle that I used to have only got 50 miles to the gallon.

This will be a life improvement for me as I will be able to afford to go on trips like I used to years ago. I put my $100 down so I hope to at least be in the first year or two of production. I just hope my vehicle can wait for the first year or two of production.

jlroar, welcome to the forum and congratulations on your "initial" reservation. Many of us started with $100 and upgraded several times. Careful the Elio is addicting and you will want to guarantee your place in the production line. There is plenty to learn about the Elio and the forum is the repository of information. Choose the threads that most appeal to you and don't hesitate to ask questions because forum members are friendly and helpful (at least most are). Enjoy the journey and the experience.

H Roar, Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you found us. We have a large group of Future Elio owners, here in Ohio. Know what your talking about your present car. My Old Ford just ate almost a thousand dollars of my elio savings. It's been running with a broken something under the front end and a bad sensor that caused my check engine light to go on. I tried some 'tricks' to get the light off, but finally had to bit the bullet in order to pass the Portage County Sniff Test. OH well, only in OHIO, I say. Welcome, hope to meet you soon.
