Hi and welcome from Oregon, xllxSAPPERxllx. The Elio has ac and Paul Elio, the designer and engineer is from Phoenix. I think that just about covers all your bases. It should be OK in HOV lane as it is federally designated as a motorcycle. However, you might want to verify that with your state DMV. I encourage you to use the search function here as the members are very diverse, knowledgeable and from almost every state in the union and love discussing Elio. Another excellent resource is of course, Elio Motors website. I hope you enjoy this exciting journey and adventure as we move toward Elio production and ownership. My favorite story on this forum: So, on Sunday, I met a Man by Ralphe. It is in General Elio Discussion page 13. I don't know how to get the link for you but this information should help. Welcome to the madness..I jumped in at the $1000 level, there was no way I wasn't going to be one the new owners of the coolest ride around. While it took me awhile to do the "deed", I was hooked the minute I saw the first ad., then seeing one didn't dim my lights at all.

There were more than a handful of Vegas folks all-in in 2013; I doubt I was the first. I don't mind... as long as I still get mine the first day of production.

So. . . . . . , WELCOME aboard, #246!

I believe that I am one of the first in Northern Nevada - ( Fernley... just 30 miles east of Reno). I am number 300 and one of my friends is #301. We ordered all in $1000, and are really glad of the year delay... because of the continued prototypes and vendors who continue to make the Elio better and better. I'm certain that I'll spend a bit more than originally planned to get a few of the great upgrades that will be available. I do plan on driving it all around town and Reno when I'm solo.... just me and my golf clubs!

I have over 20 in Nevada who are All In at $1K in my file called Reported Numbers.xls.
