...majority of the drive was on i-40 where the maximum speed limit from 65 to 70 mph .... for all practical purposes we used the adaptive cruisecontrol set at 5 mph over the limit .... on the trip from home to the mountains she got 25.1 mpg .... on the drive back down we got 26.4 mpg .... those...
I would tear it out of my car in an instant if I could.
I get on a freeway and within seconds go to cruise, have been doing that for decades, but this rubbish is not only annoying, it's dangerous.
It senses a car too far away and starts to back off, and if you change into the fast lane with...
we now have just under 700 miles on our Blazer .... used the Adaptive CruiseControl today for the first time .... in some ways its a bit spooky but info provided from folks here is making the adjustment much easier .... still too early to come up with an average MPG but do feel pretty confident...
....... just over 50 miles round trip, about 20 over a decent 2 lane state road and 30 some miles on I-40 .... first time using adaptive cruisecontrol, for me the jury is still out .... it worked as advertised but I found it to be a bit spooky .... ran instantaneous MPG screen most of the way...
...part of the country and to looking forward to visiting 3 different campgrounds .... round trip that will be just over 300 miles with 250+ being on I-40 .... looking forward to giving the "adaptive cruisecontrol" a try .... if I'm not up to it, we plan to make the drive on Wednesday of next week
while the most advanced options (like adaptive cruisecontrol) are new to me, it appears they have been in use for a good while .... much is usually learned from the first few years that a feature is in production and real world use .... happy to say I don't know of any we have ordered that this...
Congratulations, my 1/2 ton duramax Chevy pickup took about 6 weeks once it started on the assembly line to delivery . I got the adaptive cruisecontrol, it works perfect and is so great for long drives, I like the fact I can also adjust the following distance.
I have that in my 2020 Corolla. Good Stuff!
I use it daily as a backup when I'm looking around at blind spots before a lane-change, I may not see the traiffic if it stops. But the cruise will.
I also use it to keep me from driffting the speed up via my lead-foot. Just set the speed, relax my...

4. it will have more safety features than any we've owned
5. it will be our first experience with an adaptive cruisecontrol which they say is an advanced driver-assistance system for road vehicles that automatically adjusts the vehicle speed to maintain a safe distance...
EM has shown computer drawings of the vehicle's frame. Earlier drawings showed a solid bar on the drivers right side. The last drawing I saw showed an opening on the right side that was identical to the left side opening where the door goes.
I believe they are placing a door on the right side...
Found this statement interesting: "The Elio will be nicely equipped with power windows, power door locks, air conditioning and cruisecontrol, accompanied by the safety of multiple air-bags and an aerodynamic, enclosed vehicle body." They say "door locks" as plural. Perhaps they are looking at...
How is 3 Greater Than 4?

Happy Friday Elio’ers! As you can probably imagine, we receive quite a bit of feedback about the design of the vehicle. For this, we are grateful, and the feedback that we receive from fans has made a difference! One common piece of feedback we hear is...
That if the Elio ends up having less than half mpg and costs 66% more than the projected msrp, then it wouldn't sell well.
Trying to compare the Elio to any existing car is a wasted effort. The combination of fuel efficiency and low cost fundamentally changes the economics of owning vehicles...
...Spark ACTIV with six miles on it, at a dealership loaded with 15" aluminum wheels, roof rack, 98HP 1.4L w' a 5 speed manual tranny, CruiseControl, Onstar Wi-Fi, special "ATV / Off-road" trim and accents, power everything and 29 city / 37 highway gas mileage for $12,511 (MSRP of $17K+). Now...
Thanks for finding that. It looks like to me that Elio is looking to raise $25M in the pre-sale. This sounds just like what they said for the NASDAQ offering but it was for $100M. Then for the IPO, it was up to $25M but raised $16M. My concern is that if they raised $25M, that it would do this...
...mileage rating of up to 84 mpg, while providing the comfort of amenities such as power windows, power door lock, air conditioning and cruisecontrol, accompanied by the safety of multiple airbags and an aerodynamic, enclosed vehicle body. Elio's first manufacturing site will be in Shreveport...
