...carrying an electric cord, a dam teenager or spend the night. Will it go through high water or up the WVA hills. What about groundclearance? Johnny Bob down the road won't be able to help me anymore, if it don't start or push me out of a ditch. All those buttons!!! I just want to get in...
Optical illusion due to the tapering in towards the rear.
Fact is, it's sitting high at the front because there's no engine in it, 7", and 5" towards the rear.
Guy asked me before "What sort of groundclearance does it have"? - My simple answer: "Air".
Because it's a 3 wheeler, I will try to keep the CoG as low as possible, so likely 4" front, and 5 rear".
Note that I will have a completely flat bottom, so you might get an occasional scrape, but of no consequence, and that the rear will be easy to adjust the height to suit your general...
I can go tighter yet with the suspension package, and may have to, as i think I have too much groundclearance at the moment, and don't want to take the strut tops up any higher (to lower the car).
Just a "dummy", ask my wife and she will confirm it.
...trimmed back, some lasered plates rather than tubes, and some removed later.
I have to use some bolts at the moment because I can't know at the moment how the engine and driveline weight will ultimately affect the groundclearance, so may have to move the strut mounts up or down later...
for vehicles with a low groundclearance I have to sit down and then pivot to bring both legs into the vehicle .... with taller clearance vehicle I can step it with out the pivoting ... being old, heavy and with bad knees getting in and out of a Camaro type vehicle ain't easy .... also the door...
...of headroom and legroom as the 2018 Toyota Carola.
At first glance, the Elio may look slightly low to the ground. Actually, our groundclearance 5.75″ which is consistent with other vehicles on the road such as the Honda Accord EX and the Mercedes S550.
With a wheelbase (which is the...

Our configuration is one of many features that makes our vehicle unique but is a particularly crucial factor in order for us to accomplish our...
I had one,, but could not deal with the 100 mile range gas tank, lack of groundclearance cornering, zero weather protection, zoro storage, 3,000 mile rear tire, poor mpg (compared to BMW), no tach, no heated seat or grips,,,,but, even after all that,,, there was still something I liked about...
...(SMC) body, which prohibited us from routing the exhaust to the rear of the vehicle. Doing so would have significantly reduced our groundclearance. The initial solution was to route the exhaust down the side of the vehicle, under a shroud.
There are many advantages, however, to routing the...
...Wild Ride at Disneyland. With just one other person in it, the Dune Runner scraped its fenders on the slightest bump. It needs some groundclearance. Or some ride height. Or some springs and shocks. But it served to demonstrate the breadth and depth of the Volkswagen presence in desert fun...
...Sedan makes and models. Driver Friendly: Easy Ingress/egress, driver sitting position comfort, sits higher for better visibility, groundclearance, winter driving, hauling stuff, kids, etc.. I’ve owned my first SUV since 2005 and couldn’t go back to driving a Sedan........although I did...
...target price is mentioned in an EVInsiders article to be $17,000. Also, in a screen grab it looks like the Uniti One has a similar groundclearance as the SOLO, but considerably more overall vehicle height than the SOLO when comparing it to the sedan parked next to it and the exiting driver...
This is NOT going to make you folks happy! I pulled my reservation on the SOLO after seeing too many "clips of chips" and scratches in the rocker panels. It's just too low to the ground and won't survive the potholes, manholes and any other holes on the road. Plus, it doesn't qualify for the...
A/C is supposed to be already figured into the $15,500USD.
I'd say that they'd have a serious problem advertising a price of $15,500USD...
If it were impossible to purchase a Solo in any configuration at that price.
