    Happy Birthday Goofyone!!- 10/13/2016

I have been really busy with my job and a home renovation project so haven't been posting much recently however I still do check in regularly as I would still love to have an Elio. The trip to California to see the Elio prototype and hang out with Elio friends was a lot of fun and I would love...

    Happy Birthday Goofyone!!- 10/13/2016

I decided against it and had my deposit refunded. It is a very nice car however I just did not want to spend $60K on a car right now as I am traveling so much. I used the money for a deposit on an Arcimoto instead and it is looking like I may actually be able to get one of those in the next year. :D

    Model 3 Vs Elio

Was in San Jose late last week so I drove over to Freemont and took a look at the Tesla factory where the Model 3 will eventually be built. Sent from my XT1097 using Tapatalk

    Model 3 Vs Elio

This afternoon SpaceX successfully landed their first stage on the floating barge. http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/8/11392138/spacex-landing-success-falcon-9-rocket-barge-at-sea The article also explains why landing on the ocean barge is so important to SpaceX.

Tesla’s Model 3 Electric Car Gets Requests For 135,000 Vehicles On First Day Of Ordering

Being interested in the bleeding edge of personal transportation technology can definitely be frustrating. Over the years I have been interested in several vehicles which never made it to market and currently besides the Elio and Tesla Model 3 I have been following the Lit Motors C-1 for years...

    Model 3 Vs Elio

SpaceX actually has a very good reason to land its first stage rockets on an ocean barge instead of on dry land, which SpaceX has also done successfully. It takes a lot less fuel to land out on the ocean than it takes to fly the rocket back to solid ground then land. This is important because...

    Model 3 Vs Elio

That fact is that neither the Elio nor the Tesla Model 3 are for everyone as they each have limitations which some people may not be able, or want, to accommodate in their lives. Then again this can be said for just about any vehicle as each person has different requirements for their vehicles...

    Ok, Not Similar

Even more amazing to me is the fact that modern engines are simultaneously more powerful and much more fuel efficient than the muscle car era engines. In the 1970's the only cars which could achieve 30+ MPG were the little Toyota and Honda economy cars with their tiny engines. We would be hard...

    Model 3 Vs Elio

To me the Elio and Tesla Model 3 are very different vehicles which would serve my needs in different ways. The Model 3 really appeals to the techie and modern gearhead in me while also serving my need at times for a larger, and more luxurious, vehicle. The Elio makes a great '&' vehicle for me...

    Model 3 Vs Elio

You got me there. :D I could not justify the cost of a Tesla Model S or X however the Model 3 has a similar design and many of the features of those models at a price point which I can live with. At a base price of $35K it is still a luxury however one which many more people can afford.

    Model 3 Vs Elio

The Tesla Model 3 reservation agreement states that the reservation is fully refundable. This was one reason why I went ahead and made the reservation this morning even though all the details have yet to become available. :D...

Elio Motors Adds World-renowned Roush As Lead Engineering Partner

I was quite impressed when I read about this earlier today. Rousch picks their projects carefully to protect their brand so this partnership really adds a lot of experience as well as credibility to Elio Motors.

    Apollo High Speed Video

Great video! I have seen portions of this video before but never the entire engine start and launch sequence in slow motion. The detailed narration is really quite interesting as though I have heard most of this before it was great to be able to see it happening as it is being explained. I...

    No Speed Limit

Over the last six months I have made several trips between St Louis and Poplar Bluff, MO a couple hours drive south. That trip heads due south bordering the Ozarks so, as you mentioned, it includes elevation changes and roads with curves which makes for a nice trip. This was an especially nice...

    Lit Motors C-1

More delays for those of you waiting on Lit Motors as it looks like they are still a long way out from production. This article published yesterday says the "plan is to have a production-ready prototype in 24 months"...
