I have noticed many members who have discussed their service in various threads and wanted to start a thread about this. I know we have members across generations so I thought it would be interesting to hear a little about members service.

From 2000-2004 I served as a 74B/25B Information Technology Specialist in the Army Signal Corps. I served tours in Afghanistan and Iraq where my role was to travel between various Forward Operating Bases and Combat Outposts supporting the technology systems needs including VOIP and internet access capabilities at MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) centers which allowed personnel to stay in touch with family back home.

I was in the Army Reserve from 2002 to 2010. I was a 42L with the F5 identifier (Administrative Specialist with Postal training). I was activated in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in late 2004 and was in Iraq (FOB Danger in Tikrit) most of 2005. I worked in an Army Post Office as a Postal Clerk while there.

Then to Jacksonville Florida where I got to my FA-18 Fighter Jet Squadron VFA-131 Wildcats, Spent 3.5 years there to complete my 4 years active time.
During that time a was on 2 Air Craft Carriers: The Independence (razor blades now) and The "IKE" CVN-69 The Eisenhower. Served in the Southwest asia war - Desert Storm in 1991.
I was an avionics tech for our 12 FA-18's in sunny Florida - I had 1.5 years at sea during my time in. Honorable discharge in 1991.
