This Mini-Mate motorcycle 'camping trailer' is what I'd like for an Elio cross-country tour of the National Parks:

I've looked at these, would be a perfect weight, width etc but kind of pricey..

Agreed. But, talk about minimilistic camping!

Even if this was a hollow fiberglass trailer, I don't think this three wheeled configuration would work? Two would.

I saw this picture a long time ago-soon after I heard about the Elio. It is simply a modified Elio photo. I took this to be simply someone having fun with a image editor. I saw this article the other day--my thought was that they came across the image, and did not bother to investigate.

When I saw that picture I simply considered it the pipedream of someone playing with photoshop, clever, but quite impractical.

Hellaciously unstable and would beat the bejesus out of anything you were carrying but it does have humorous impact.
