Technically, I am a dog lover and appreciate cats. If a cat could be obedience trained and run in a rally competition I'd love them too.
They can run the agility courses, it just take a little more time and effort (The bold underline is a link, turn your sound down)
You can train cats, it's just how you do it that's different.

I have had both dogs and cats. I like almost all cats, and I tend to like other people's dogs, but have no desire to have one of my own.

I had an abandoned/neglected/stray German Shepherd for a few weeks a couple of years ago, which was my first dog in a long time. My cats are glad to see me when I get home, but that dog wound himself up in circles and bounced around for joy for five minutes when I got back. Fortunately, I was able to find him a good home, but I can understand why people love their dogs.

Cats are affectionate and loving, but in their own way and on their own terms. I like their independence.

I went through life figuring that I would never hit a time that I couldn't work (how's that for a "go for it" attitude)
People used to ask when I was going to retire; my answer "when I fall down and they start throwing dirt on me".

Then real life checked in and slapped me hard.
So now I live on SSD and what's left of the retirement fund.
But ........ I have $12K tucked away and earmarked for my Elio.
That's how much I believe it is going to happen.
hey, and if it doesn't happen you can have a swell wake

Besides, no matter how you prepare them, I have it on good advise, "that cats, when baked using oil and garlic are more tender than dogs.", from Martha Stewarts' very popular "Preparing Domestic Animals for those Special Occasions". Slow sales in the U S, but doing well in many other countries.
Are you done? (I would say the rest of what I'm thinking but this is a PG site)

It was just for yucks, I own three cats, not a member of PETA, a vegan, sensitive to other species' plights. Hey it's getting overcast and temps in low 40's, I'm in an "adjustment" phase, FreezingMFAO
40's????? Maybe at 3 in the morning; it's 52 here now with a light rain, been like that all day.
That's another reason I move to SW WA, the weather is very different and it's only 150 miles south of you.

Welcome to the Great Northwest, it's going to be like this until March or April; 40's at night, 50's during the day. Will get a LOT colder for 2 of 3 weeks, used to be the first few weeks of Jan. but after the year we've had, there's no telling when it will happen.
