Saab removed the synchronizers in their model 99 rally cars for reliability, for rev-match shifting without the clutch so they could keep the power on and with left foot braking to induce artificial oversteer, especially on hard surfaces. Tis sad GM put them in the ground, unlike Ford and Volvo.

Awesome pics, AJ!! Got me a new wallpaper!
One thing I found curious. I'm glad they went with a timing chain rather than a belt, but why would it be exposed? Seems like a good way to get dirt into the engine. Then again, there may be a clear polycarbonate lens over the cover if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me.

Reason I said footrest; if you look at the picture, there's not a lot of travel room; no rubber on the pedal; and it looks like if you do depress it, it would hit the footrest in the floor (but that's probably just the angle of the picture).
The travel area was what didn't look right; looks like it only has 2" of space to travel.

And I know all to well about resting your foot on the clutch pedal; it's what brought up the need to learn how to change a clutch in a VW Bug.
I was just learning how to drive a stick, and burned out the clutch in 3 weeks.

Pretty much what I thought.
Looks like the layout needs some love from Roush. Ergonomics matter.
I think this stuff was also pointed out earlier this year.
