I use WAYZE. Better than any radio station. Even tells me where the cops are.
I also use waze for my commute. I still like hearing what else is going on and how bad traffic might be for my wife so I can warn her (she goes to work an hour or two after me. Hey, she gets home before me, too... how fair is that?)

My wife would just say that she works faster and more efficiently..... and I would just nod my head “yes Dear”.

Sounds like your wife and my wife went to the same school of thought!
That's how I started using Wayze. My wife told me to use it and I did. Found out it's the best app for traveling plus it now interfaces with apple car play. I like all of the updates and when we take a trip, we even help out. it tells you things like "where the cops are shooting radar" and "where cars are parked on the side of the road" or "the weather conditions way up the road (really useful in winter)." It's a really handy app and at times has done a way better job of diverting me around traffic jams than any other app.

and I see that Google has started trickling some of those things into Google Maps. you can now report potholes and police in that app as well. And, released today, Augmented Reality walking directions. You hold your phone up and it puts a superimposed arrow on the sidewalk the direction you should walk. So, we'll see walkers staring at their phones more. Of course, at least THEN, they'll be looking at a version of the sidewalk they are on!

If you think Americans are bad, the Chinese are 10X worse. They are part of the travel boom in Europe and thus the reason why 50K people land in Venice each day and leave by the evening. Most of them are Chinese and they have their phone out almost 100% of the time. Plus they are over the top about Harry Potter and thus in England, they are flooded with them and their phones snapping pics and vids constantly. I never realized that York England and the area called Shambles, was what they modeled the area where they did all of that harry Potter stuff. Thus that town is packed with Chinese tourists on that street and it's almost impossible to get around.

On the other hand, if you like trains, that city has the biggest train museum in the world and it's free. I spent two days there. Best part, no Harry Potter stuff and not flooded with Chinese tourists. This train museum is over the top. It's like the Barber Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, AL.

Neat. I've been to the Barber Motorcycle Museum. It was quite the treat and not very busy at all.

Did you get to take a tour of the restoration shop? if not it's amazing. They have people there that work 24/7 looking for parts. Plus if you can go to the track for a race, it's literally one of the best racetracks I've ever been to.

The train museum in York is massive, their restoration shop is amazing and the inventory building they have is huge. It has everything tagged, cleaned up and ready to use for something in the future. Plus the people that work there are volunteers and the restaurant is really good.

Glad you made it to Barber’s. It’s quite a museum.
I don’t live very far from it. It’s just about the nicest attraction Bham has to offer. While I can’t say that I know Mr. Barber personally - I used to do a good bit of work for him. He’s a very nice and down to earth guy. Super nice man. Everything he does - he does right. By the way - I had the pleasure of designing the Museum’s logo some years ago. I used to design a good bit for his companies....

They have a Triumph X-75 Hurricane on display. I cry every time I see it. I bought one of three sold in Alabama back in the day. Wished I still had it. Great bike.... and one of a kind for sure ;)

I was at the track years ago to watch a Grand Am race and one of my friends that had a team had a friend of his at the track. It was Russ Collins. Come to find out, Two of Russes motorcycles were on display at the museum. So, Suntrust had a massive party there during the race weekend and i went with this team. Since Russ pointed out two of his bikes that were on the wall, they took us all for a tour of the shop. Russ is a legend.
