Eco Motors site seems to be active. The latest news seems to be 03/2014. I like the animation they have on the site.

They were suppose to make the EMC3 three wheel car but nothing seems to have come from it.

It looks nice.

My impression from their website, is they are now focusing on engines rather than a vehicle. Am I reading that right. Their website is definitely active since they have purchased a plant in Michigan and recently appointed a CFO (I think that is the title I read) and they have appointed a woman to their board. I'm not sure why, but the EMC3 looks less stable than the Elio. Or maybe that is simply the perspective of the photo. I don't know much about engines but I do know enough to know theirs looks different than others I have seen. Interesting. Thanks for posting this. :-) Z

If this car truly gets 60+MPG, I think it will give Elio a run for it's money.
Some will opt for spouse setting next to them rather than the MPG's.
If all things were equal, I would choose this car over Elio, just to have my wife setting up front next to me.

I think if the Elio is produced and is successful we will see an influx of 3 wheeled vehicles on the market.. It's just a matter of one 3 wheeled vehicle and the automotive\motorcycle world will stand up and take notice.. I think Elio knows this and interested potential investors are paying close attention to what the consumer is interested in.. It's all about money!

When that happens, what do you think the chances are, all the states make new category for this type of vehicle, and charge $2.00 less for plates than a full size car just to make up for the loss in income or just because they can?

Mass. RMV is crying poverty already and we will be facing fee hikes for pretty much everything including, licensing, registration and inspection.. Guessing that Mass. would either issue motorcycle plate or down the road create a new plate classification as Autocycle (just a wild guess here). It all depends on how they view the Elio but as it stands now it would be motorcycle.
