You are such a TEASE!!!!! I thought this was a serious post even though it is Saturday. Darn! :) Z
Some day, I'll put the engine information in here but to be honest, I was just fooling with everybody with the title but I didn't want to leave it hanging... hence my first post... Because I'm funny and all.

Okay... the engine should be fresh off the dyno, right? In about a week, the first "official start"!

has it been released where the "official start" will take place ? .... it would seem that IAV's facility (wherever that is) would be a logical choice

This was not a rumor, it was said by PE, on the Driver Talk Radio show some time back. It has been delayed no reason given, that I know of.

It's this kind of stuff that encourages people to start threads questioning whether the Elio will happen or not. When they bust a deadline, and it doesn't matter what it was for, there immediately needs to be an explanation given as to why. There are way too many people that have put down deposits to simply bust deadlines without giving an explanation...

Unfortunately the problem for EM is statements just like the one you wrote. You are demanding answers however the problem with your demand is that it is based on information which has since proven to be incorrect. This is a no-win situation for EM as the demand is based on incorrect information so they do not have the information you demand however when they tell us that people will then accuse EM of lying about this or hiding problems.

We now know there was no deadline busted instead just internet rumors of this happening created by people on the outside looking in who do not have a good understanding of what is going on. The fact of the matter is that this engine has actually been on a dyno several times now however these were not for self powered tests but instead other tests which occur in the months long testing process leading up to the first self-powered dyno tests which we have been told are scheduled to occur now.

Maybe EM could have done a better job of communicating the steps in the engine testing process ahead of time however they did tell us this would be a months long process before they had results they could share. Instead many of us were impatient and ended up raising all kinds of unfounded doubts which created these rumors and ultimately lead to people demanding information which simply did not exist.

This photo appeared on Facebook last night. I don't know when it was taken but that does appear to be the Elio engine sitting on that stand.
