So I've been wondering...

Once the Elio goes into production and makes a huge splash in the automotive industry, I can see it changing the way people talk about cars. Just like "smart car" became a common term for all the ultra-tiny compacts that soon followed, I can see "Elio" becoming a common term for the tandem-tadpole-autocycle form factor. (Just like we all refer to self-adhesive bandages as "Band-Aids").

And it won't take long for the other car manufacturers to buy into the autocycle trend as well, each producing their own version. But people will call them all "Elios" :)

Yeah, it's got to be something that slides off the tounge...
As easily as Kleenex dipped in Vasoline and Jello.

I've been telling people, "It's a three-wheeler."
Very comfortable and it instantly gets the image across.
Because of the proliferation of the Spyder and Slingshot...
Most naturally envision a tadpole configuration.

I think "autocycles" will carry the day, I like three wheel(ing)
I agree with the term "Autocycle" being the term used. I mean really....Elio isn't anything like Vicegrips (locking pliers) or Channel locks (slip joint pliers) or Crescent wrench (adjustable end wrench).:eyebrows:
