This is why everyone should have a dash cam

Accident in Texas <-----link

What a jerk the driver was.

Originally the driver of the car yells, "I don't care" when the guy with the dash cam asked why he hit the guy on the bike.
This has been on the news up here for the last 2 days.
Good to see the driver finally got what he deserved.

I tried that dual cam camera, two of them in fact. Sent them back a few days later. The internal batteries which allow the boot up and options to remain set are DOA, probably cheap batteries in the camera too long, even before they get sold. One worked for about 30 seconds, the other would make it almost 3 minutes. They should make the internal batteries replaceable without destroying the camera. When mine finally fails (G1W) I will carefully saw it apart and replace it, as it has been a good camera otherwise. For the dual camera use, I am simply going to place another G1W in another position and run two cameras. It makes a great backup camera if positioned where it can see out the rear window as well.
By the way, these all have full sound capability, I am not sure everyone realizes that yet. Too bad I cannot upload a sample here, but it will not take an mp4. Here is a still shot though -

it has 3 settings for levels of resolution .... it comes set at the mid level .... it also comes set for loop recording .... we plan to make a 600 mile drive on Wednesday, will be interesting to see how it does

Thinking about ordering a few of these.. So how did it work on your drive and would you recommend it for purchase?

we have one in operation in my Chevy truck and one in my wife's Trailblazer .... the video works as advertised .... the audio recording playback isn't very loud (not a bad thing for us) .... literally take it out of the box, attach the window mount, plug it in .... the quality of the video when connected to a computer is really good .... does reasonably well at night .... all in all, no regrets about buying it
