So after you bought your Elio you would need to have someone cut the roof for you and make it an open top vehicle if you really wanted a convertible.

Even then, you'd have to leave the "frame" roll bars going from front to back in place. It is part of the integrity of the framework.

And then make sure the door is welded shut so it doesn't fold in half from all the structure you cut out.

I just meant the roof panel, not the roll cage.
