I looked up my Stevens Model 56. They were manufactured between 1938 and 1948 and considered a youth gun. They were manufactured without a serial number so you can't pin point the year. That means it was no more than 4 years old when my Dad received it in 1942. So it's between 74 and 78 years old. By the time I hand it down to my grandson, ( his mom and dad won't let him have it Yet He's only 10. ) it will almost be an antique! Thinking of giving it to him on Christmas Day 2022 he will be 16 then and 80 years to the day, his Great Grandfather received it.

a good while back we joined a small forum dedicated to Henry rifles .... it suddenly disappeared over a week ago, no clue why or if it will come back .... at the recommendation of a friend, I checked out an area on a Marlin forum dedicated to Henry Rifles .... I've joined, they seem to have a good group of folks over there

Spent last night taking a Parabellum AKARS rail off of my WASR AK.
I Modified it to fit, and installed it on, my new M90NP 5.56 AK.
I had a UTG Pro side mount on the 5.56 and didn't like it.
I ended up putting a UAG Tri-Rail System on the WASR.
The WASR has the tang. The M90NP doesn't have it.
Both systems work well and allow easy tear-down.
They're both solid as a rock. No movement at all.

I went to a gun and knife show and bout a t-shirt. It said 'P.E.T.A.' with 'people eating tasty animals'. :) They also had my size.

There was a lot of guns, ammo, knives and accessories. It was neat to go. I have never seen so many guns in one place. There were even people bringing guns to sell. It was really neat. I will be going to another.

the Henry Rifle Forum I mentioned above has been resurrected by some of the former members .... they are a good core group and I have every confidence they will rebuild it to where it is even better than the last one .... any folks interested are welcome

late this afternoon I got my first hands-on look at our new Henry H012 Big Boy Steel .44 Mag .... must say that I'm impressed .... fit and finish are exceptional .... quick 4 shot test in the back yard turned out great .... firing pin really hits the primer .... hope to get it out to fire several hundred rounds on Tuesday .... at this point, we are all smiles
