Its a nice concept in a place where people actually follow all the rules of the road. But you get in that and you're just as bad off as a bicycle if not worse without wearing a helmet.
As I commute through Baltimore City, stopping at red lights and stop signs is seen more as an option not a requirement. I'll stick to my Hyundai. However in the small town in PA where my house is, yes this would be a neat tool to use to go back and forth although the hill would be killer.
Someone here in Severna Park has one of those.... If I had the disposable income, there would be one in my driveway, too. There'd be room for it, because my wife would leave me.
Most interesting to me: Near the end of the video, he's talking about other designs the company has prepared. At about 18:20 he shows a concept for a fully-enclosed three-wheeled motorcycle that goes over 100 mph. Looks quite elio-like, but electric, and he figures he could sell it for around 22K (out of his little low-volume shop, not a full-fledged auto factory).
