I have already talked to the WSDOT Ferry help line, and they confirmed it with the loadmasters, they will be treated as motorcycles since they are registered as motorcycles, but will be charged at the under 14' vehicle length rate. since they are enclosed, the licensing will not require a helmet nor a motorcycle endorsement on the drivers license. unless someone changes the laws in the interm.
The classification as an AutoCycle was just added not that long ago, I doubt if it will change again, any time soon.

This old thread showing my 2009 Abarth smart car is way out of date. I've since owned several Fiats (the new Abarths have incredible exhaust sounds ... do a radio delete if you can. I like quirky transportation ... my current ride is a Piaggio MP3 but I've also owned a Can-Am Spyder in the 3-wheel space.
