I agree, now that you make that observation. Hmmm, 3D printing? ‘fridge magnets, even smaller ones as lapel pins? Little cuff links (dated, eh?). EM just needs to get that kind of stuff out there fre or real cheap.

Honestly, I think toys and magnets would just be another EM waste of money. I've had a superb user-driven interactive Elio reservation map on it's own dedicated domain and webpage where you can place your pin on your general location and even designate whether you're just an enthusiast, a want-in, or an all-in via the color of the pin. Takes about four minutes total to register (to keep the spam out) and place a pin. I have promoted this thing for six months. There are now me and two other people that have placed pins on the map. If this were three years ago, that thing would have a thousand+ pins on it. The only conclusion that I can come to (also taking into account the general mood toward EM found all over the internet) is that the majority of reservation holders are so jaded that they don't want it to be known that they are reservation holders. Even though a mouse-over of their pin on the map would show them only as a username of their own choosing. If you check elsewhere around the web, You'll find that many of the previous silent majority now state that they are embarrassed that they reserved. , they have absolutely no interest in showing their status. So, I have to conclude that toys, magnets and such would definitely be even more EM money down the hole.

EA, maybe post another link to the map for those who don't know.

Thanks Willie, but I was never able to find out whether I have permission to do that or not.
And I don't want to step on anyone's toes. All I can say is that it's been out there and it's not that hard to find.

I really like the idea. I don't know if it would be an influx of cash, but I'd want a 1/18 one on my desk. (price within reason, of course)

I mean, not everyone wants a model, because they want the car too.

Some might perversely want one because the car might 'not' get made. Tucker or Edsel anyone? Shoot, they have scale models of concept cars never intended for production.

Think of it as being more collectable...
