Do you have polarized sunglasses? If so you might find it interesting to turn the film when darkened while wearing them.

The sun reflects light but can it reflect enough to matter? During the day it's hella bright but the film will already be darkening by the daylight. At night on a full moon it will be dusk level and won't be enough to darken it.

Going to try something different. I'll take a picture out the back door while standing in the house with the film right up against the camera lens [one pic with no film for a baseline], then step out on the back patio in the sun taking the same a pic of the same view. Not sure if it'll work. Might have to disable some of the "automatic" stuff on the camera. We'll see.

Cool. I'd like to see that!

Had JEBar and his wife out here for the weekend [trap shooting and an awesome dinner on Saturday!], and COMPLETELY forgot to show him the film samples so he could check them out in person. :tsk: Hopefully the camera will show the tint difference.

Been thinking about the paint for my Elio. I will buy it painted white with a black interior. Will have it custom painted some kind of pattern on top of the white. I like large metal flake, but not sure if I want burnt orange or a blue (Yes, a light yellow is being considered too). Also considering this, maybe as stripes going down the side and fenders:

Might help it being seen at night.

I like it, but I wonder if it's legal for the street?
I can see doing the Elio in a 4 tone paint job, with normal colors for 2 and the glow in the dark for the other 2

Don't know why it would be illegal. It wouldn't be bright enough to bother anybody's vision. Might look cool in a wide open space going fast.
Two colors would add to the cost, but if done nicely might be unique.

All I know is that where I live, they rarely ever do anything about lighting. Some of the setups I've seen amazes me. I do know one kid that got nailed because he had green headlights in his Jeep. Even at that, it took like a year before he got a warning and then changed them back. When I mean these headlights were green, they were not some slight tint but a real deep green. Whatever tail lights he has in it look like brake lights and the brake lights look like a set of red headlights. I still don't know how he gets away with that.

FYI. When the first automobiles hit the road over a hundred years ago, in some places driving at night required you have someone walk ahead of the car waving a lantern. I would like to try this but am having trouble finding someone who can walk 70 mph....
