There is no SOLO of the past. The SOLO is not a SOLO redo, but rather the SOLO is a Corbin Motors Sparrow redo. The SOLO specs simply have been refined during the initial 8 or 9 EMV Sparrow Builds and the following 40+- EMV SOLO Beta builds prior to releasing the final retail SOLO specs. Similar refinements were made on the Arcimoto, and likely be required on the Elio after building the first prototype. The SOLO not only looks better, base model features were added, and performance and handling has improved from the initial prototype builds.

I only hope Elio got it right, but I recall there was a Forum post way back, stating that the team of Elio prototype builders, had serious issues fitting parts. I doubt EM knows for certain they got it right until after track testing a completed prototype.

There was a Solo of the past. It was the 2018 models that they built in-house and sold around 40 of them. That's what i'm talking about. Those as compared to the 2019 which looks much more polished and like a real production model.

Thanks for posting that. The video hits on how the new Solo is so much more production ready and polished over the old Solo. They now have a proper EV as opposed to the home built one in the past. it's obvious he and I are on the same page as he picked out all of the V2 improvements. i hope the Solo does well. Since Solo has finished their car and Arcimoto has finished theirs, who will be next/ Sondors or Elio?

One thing is certain(unless some unfortunate event/s happen of course), both the Arcimoto's FUV and EMV's SOLO will easily deliver and fulfill on all their reservation holders when they enter full production. I already call it a success story as they persevered to get to where they at now. Still, it's hard to really gauge how many units they will sell beyond those reservations until they're running America's streets. That's free advertising for these two new comers in EV 3wheeler market.

Also, with the Solo and Arcimoto looking more like a polished production piece, they will see ore after the reservations are fulfilled. That's what those companies have to do because nobody want's a company to fill the reservations and then they go out of business. They all want those companies to do well. Thus the long time support they give them. Just like with Elio, we want them to get to 250K per year, not just make sure all 65K reservation holders get their cars. That would make no sense.

At the moment, anything's possible. And it'll only make sense like I said when Arcimoto and EMV starts delivering their FUVs and SOLOs. Will they sell like hotcakes or will orders trickle??? How many are those that really "want" it and those that really "need" it??? Whatever future holds to these two new comers in the EV 3wheeler market, I'm sure the big automakers can't wait to find out.

This is NOT going to make you folks happy! I pulled my reservation on the SOLO after seeing too many "clips of chips" and scratches in the rocker panels. It's just too low to the ground and won't survive the potholes, manholes and any other holes on the road. Plus, it doesn't qualify for the federal tax credit. So, while I'm waiting for the Sondors to take reservations, I put 149 Euros (refundable) down on a Uniti One, a four-wheeler that WILL qualify for the tax credit and will do about 300km (200 miles) on a charge.
