My reality is, I’m going to be parking one very soon. If/when there is three in my home town, I’m going to give it a try.

Did you notice they still don't fit. The standard width of a parking spot ranges from 7.5' - 9.0'. So that means, those FUVS are sticking out between 5" and 23" into the road (which in my reality, that means a parking ticket or your rear wheel could get wiped out). Also, a parking spot is 18' long, so that would mean, there would be 5.25" between each FUV, the car in front and the car behind. That pic shows a much longer spot.

As I told you, the pic does not reflect reality. It's a great PR piece though.

Thanks for crushing my belief in Arcimoto’s “Rockstar Parking” comes standard marketing PR. I was hoping to fit 3 FUV’s in my slightly oversized single stall garage. Speaking of reality and a great PR piece:

We bought our Versa after getting inside of the three little cars we were interested in with a tape measure. All three got close to the same milage but the Versa had the most 'usable' space in the back. Usable space is important if it is to be a useful car! One way we justify our big SUV's other than needing to haul our TT and boat is I ride a mid to small motorcycle (I own 5...) nearly all year, which gets my average mpg up amongst all of our vehicles.
I have always liked 'little' cars, including owning three 'Spridgets' (MG Midget/Austin Healey Sprite), a Triumph GT, and a bunch of VW Beetles and variants of.

It's like with the Smart Car. There were these pics of parking two of them in a parking spot. In the real world, that doesn't happen and it never happens in Europe. It made for a great PR piece in the US though.

Then there's the Autolob that ended up going belly up in France. They made special parking spaces just for them and honestly, they were easy to rent and use. Even at that, the company went bankrupt and out of all places, you'd think that Paris would have made it work. Instead, they have a bazillion scooters and thus make parking spaces for them which can pile a ton of them in a small spot. I suggest going to Paris and see what they do. many of the pie in the sky ideas I here about here, are in place there. In the end, most fail. In the end, even the FUV sounds like a great idea but it's a nice play toy but it's never going to win over the US population. It would never win over the EU population either. That Twizzy that everyone salivates for is not as popular as most people think it is.

People are creatures of habit and thus why these ideas we have for the US will take a long time to implement. At least in Europe, they have ingrained in their society of cheap easy to use public transportation that kills off the micro car sales.

Standard parking spaces are smaller in Europe. You predict the FUV to be a play toy that will fail, we predict a highly successful fun utility vehicle supplement to the family car. If the FUV and SOLO don’t prove market acceptance of a three wheeler commuter vehicle, Elio is dead in the water. My guess is all three (FUV, SOLO, Elio) would outsell the current top selling and successful motorcycle manufactures.

Also, the kickoff of Hula Ride Share.

I had two 2008 Smart......I had ordered the yellow and the black was a car ordered but not picked up so I bought it while mine was still yet to be built. I loved my Smart.....if driven right it was a quick and nibble car. But two seats were a issue after my kids had kids and we did day care for them. And when Elio popped up I sold them and put the deposit on a Elio....delivery date I was told would be NOV of 2015 IIRC......missed it by this much!!!! Oh well.....doubt I'll ever see my Elio.....
