The thread is about the ELIO and in the right forum so although the title's a bit depressing for die hard ELIO fans it is a discussion none the less for what's the latest on EM. Booboo who started this thread is one of our mainstays here and was always a glass half full kinda guy but he felt the need to post this so he can get our opinion on the subject...I would assume. If ya'll stick to the topic, then THE BIG KAHUNA will leave ya'll alone other wise keep battering each other and it'll be closed then we don't have nothing to talk about...we've all seen it happened. Capisce?

Late last year I discovered the Elio. I wanted to purchase one began to do research. After seeing the reported health of the company I was very surprised that the website was still taking deposits. I understand the folks who truly believe and want this car to be made, but the facts are the facts and it looking like a low probability, I would guess even to the dire hards. I don't believe that Elio can pay the fine and continue to exist. I think they should stop taking new deposits at the very least. I would think that even the refundable deposits would be lost if they were to declare bankruptcy.

Nope. They were broke again shortly after that. Within a couple of weeks in fact. What they had to spend that 2.5M on was documented here and there. The wolves were at the door and all that injection from overstock did was keep certain vendors and some others from forcing them into bankruptcy.

I agree. The top posts are typically, jokes, NASCAR and Tesla. At this point, there's nothing to talk about because Elio is giving everyone the silent treatment and it's up to people to go digging for news. I now see why all of the other Elio forums and various social media groups have shut down or been silent for months, if not years. Even the local news in Shreveport doesn't report on Elio and the other automotive websites that used to be all over the company for a long time. At this point, Elio will fail just because of the lack of interest and it's a fact that it's gone down the toilet.

Elio needs to be more transparent and not wait until things get out of hand where Paul shoes himself in a press conference. This yearly view of Paul is not going to cut it for gaining support for the brand he spent years building. Please, do not urinate it away. The faithful still believe in the product but that will not last forever. Show that you care and at least let us know you are still alive.

Back on topic: I wonder if Elio is allowed to contest the judges ruling. Supreme Court of Loiusiana?

Isn't the loose rule of thumb that you can appeal anything all the way to the US supreme court as long as they and the lower courts you have to go through first don't up and refuse to hear the appeal, and you are rich beyond my wildest dreams so you can pay for that journey?

I believe you are right, but I wonder what Elio is doing. Haven't heard anything from Elio. Read the blog is all they say.

Paul Elio took all of his lessons from Preston Tucker. If you still have money in this "venture", you should write it off as a bad debt and move on. The car is NEVER going to get built and the money all went into Paul Elio's pocket.

Pretty much, I'm chalking this up as "the 3 wheel con," which dates back to the "The Dale." Now we can add the Elio and I guess Sondors 3 wheeler too.

Why they haven't filed for bankruptcy yet is beyond me, but it's keeping all of us from writing off the stock.

I guess Paul just wants to keep those reservations coming in...
