That’s right...

Maybe Ohio will actually help Elio instead of slapping a fine on them.

By the way Stu was with Paul in the talk with the Governor. Stu walked the Governor out to the vehicle - while bending his ear.

That's great news. Can you show me the video of Stu doing this? All I see in the video linked is Joel and Paul. Paul with the Starbucks and Joel holding the door. With Stu being involved this will certainly mean progress to a new area and renewed hope for Elio. Stu did get the Chinese to take over another GM plant in Dayton, so this all makes sense due to the past success of Stu and Ohio filling up abandoned GM plants.

Remember, Paul didn't walk away from fundraising 24/7 unless this was an opportunity to get Elio up and running. Sounds like some Elio stock purchasing is in order for me on Monday.

Sure.... go to the first video posted. Go to post #22 on the “When-Really?” thread posted by xAaron. It’s the WKBN 27 video that lasts about 1 min in length. At about 13 secs into the news segment, they cut from the news anchor to the footage of The Governor walking to the Elio. In those 3-4 seconds of him walking toward the Elio - it sure appears to be Stu Lichter walking by his side. Stu is talking to the Governor while making a gesture toward the car. As they get to the car - there’s a cut (edited) showing the Governor walking around the back and entering the car. Paul is there with the Gov at that point. Next shot is the Governor walking around the back of the Elio and if you look in the background... you can see Stu standing on the sidewalk... the clips are short, but he’s there.

To me, it appears that Stu was “introducing” the vehicle ..... leading the conversation. Paul was in back of them, while walking to the Elio. Once they got to the car - Paul took over.... what was all said - who knows. But it’s great to see Stu still involved - and apparently in a big way.

Added: if that isn’t Stu..... he has a twin brother! Lol!

Good find! thank you for sharing always great to see some new news!
I'm also excited to see recent news, but this one don't make much sense. I don't think factory # 1 has quite reached full production level yet. I hope they are not in the habit of going around, buying up old factories (for cheap with the hope of future production), selling equipment, and repeating.

The calculus behind these recent appearances and subsequent damage repair is head-scratching. Paul Elio, Joel Sheltrown, Stu Lichter, the E1c vehicle, the OH Governor and staff.

The meeting could have been held in secret, but for whatever reason, it was brought to the attention of local TV news stations and camera crews were recording the event. That sort of publicity stunt is no accident; that takes scheming, coordination, scheduling and intent.

Then the Friday blog email blast and Elio Motors Facebook page are both hit with canned statements declaring that there's nothing to see here, they're still planning to build the Elio vehicle in Shreveport, LA.

Something is brewing, and I'm hesitant to get excited. It seems more plausible that Paul Elio is assisting Stu Lichter in acquiring more abandoned GM facilities for his real estate portfolio than it is Paul Elio working to produce anything.

I think it’s a shot across the bow of Shreveport.

This is Elio’s passive aggressive way of saying, “We can go elsewhere to build this vehicle, we don’t necessarily need you”.

So Shreveport’s people and politicians can either cool down the rhetoric, and perhaps try to help get Elio further along, or EM can take their business where it seems it’ll be warmly received.

Considering how receptive the Governor was, I wouldn’t be surprised if EM is trying to make an Amazon play and see if they can get a State Grant out of this if they were to pick up and move from Shreveport, LA to Ohio. Lord knows, Rivian has done it successfully (twice!), Faraday Future has done it, Elio certainly could.

Now whether or not it’d be ultimately worth it, have no idea, but the fact they’re doing such a move makes me wonder what’s happened with the initial ICO they’ve done.
