All of those stories are just regurgitated. I have a super out of this world crazy idea. Paul do an interview in person and clear the air. As of now his actions and message he sent to OH is they are looking to build there yet they say they still plan on building in LA. That's a mixed message and makes me sad that Paul couldn't spend 5 minutes of his time in person to just tell everyone what he was doing instead of creating a bunch of different interpretations.

The way I read it, Elio will not build in LA because if that was the case, then the statement should have been:
"We will build the Elio in Shreveport, LA." Instead he used the phrase, "plan on" which is not the same as "will". It's like I plan on mowing the grass today. If I don't get it done, then my wife can't get mad at me. If I tell her, I will mow the grass today, I better do it or I'm in trouble. In the end, it's yet another murky statement from Elio that says nothing but they are assuming people will exchange "plan on" with "will". Just like "targeted" is "will" or "up to" is "will". They are using the general public to change out everything with "will" and hope that works.

Had to laugh. The American English language can be so hard to figure out. Once I discussed the amount of escrow being kept by the bank. If I recall correctly, after they pay the property taxes, they can hold "up to" two additional months worth of escrow. I ended up calling the Federal Bank to clarify and they insisted that "up to" means it "must be two months", nothing more, nothing less. Seems that every type of business and trade has it's own definitions and language. If you aren't educated in that field there is no way you can fully understand it.

I would think that any state with one of these idled plants is aware of that Elio is trying to do in Shreveport. I'm also sure they are aware of what LA is trying to do to Elio in terms of the fines and whatnot.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that the folks in Ohio got in touch with the folks at Elio through some back channel and invited Elio up to do the dog and pony show. It may have been a serious overture by Ohio. It may have just been a political ploy with the leaking of the meeting to the press as a way of saying, "See, we are trying."

From Elio's perspective in this case, why not do it? Go up there and listen. It helps them out either way. They can still say, "Our plan is to build in Louisiana," and not explicitly say along with it, "but we could be talked into moving to Ohio." I would think the folks in LA can read between the lines.

Wouldn't it be much better if Paul could just tell us what they are doing as opposed to us just making things up? I bought more stock because I think they got something happening and not telling anyone.

I suggest you invest in BioMed or Pharm. This goes on all of the time. It's a game. Sometimes they have something and sometimes they are just blowing smoke up my butt. What is Paul doing? It's one or the other. In the end it will come out.

In conclusion, who here would rather see Paul be silent and not let the stakeholders in the company be left in the dark?

Also, you forgot about the SEC gag order. Elio can't say anything.
There is no such thing. This is a fabrication from this site. It magically explains why Elio is silent to those that are ignorant about how public companies work.

Elio can make public statements about their company, including their financing attempts. It just has to be true. You don't get in SEC trouble unless you make public statements that have no basis in fact (example, Elon Musk's Tweet that got him in SEC trouble.)

The exceedingly obvious reason Elio is quiet, is there is no news. A plant in Louisiana vs Ohio is of no consequence when you don't have funding to have a plant in either place.

Elio has over 60 thousand orders (now very old orders) to build a vehicle at a price that investors have concluded is not and will not be profitable. That seems unlikely to change.

Would someone comment on what I said earlier?

Doesn't this plant in Ohio belong to GM and not the state? Why would GM let a competitor use the plant? Isn't it up to GM and not the state as to who (if anyone) uses the plant?

I found an article in the Akron Beacon Journal, March 21.... “GM says it is open to a sale of Lordstown Plant”.

Sounds like GM will entertain offers: “We have received inquiries from interested parties related to the Lordstown complex and the Chevrolet Cruze,” a GM spokesman told Automotive News. “We will consider any that are truly viable business opportunities.”

The spokesperson seemed to give some latitude to what GM might entertain doing with the plant. “Viable business opportunities”.... hmmmm?

Thanks 84 mpg. Here is another article:

http://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/03...ing-for-company-to-take-over-lordstown-plant/

I am sure a plant like that is very expensive and EM is in no shape to purchase it. Perhaps someone else can purchase it and lease it to EM. Perhaps GM would lease it to EM. The article does not rule that out.

An assembly line building is highly specialized. The assembly line is the heart and the building is built around it. The building may not be useful for anything else.
