They will be back at the table soon. FCA has been trying to find a dancing partner for a while. We haven't heard much because Sergio died and thus they needed to get back on his bandwagon. FCA is like a red headed stepchild. Nobody really wants it. I suspect that the Renault/Nissan/Mitsu/who knows who else, will continue on. Someone will give in. None of them can survive on their own. The best one was when Sergio thought he was like the big man on campus and was all about how VW needs to join up with FCA and then when VAG responded it was a simple, "No" and that's it. No meeting or any other correspondence.

I keep expecting Nissan to take over. That said no one really wants Renault as long as the government is allowed to call the shots. In all fairness though the French government are the reason Ghosn didn't get a bailout for his greed.
