Thanks for that find Rickb! Just as I thought, EMV will come up with something to up the price and I was right. Hmmm, Limited Edition for 16K....interesting...and if I decline the offer, it'll be more waiting if they'll ever produce the 11.5K SOLO version. :(
As much as I am unimpressed with the EMV/Solo team (especially Jerry Kroll, who appears to have been moved aside, or at least out of the spotlight), there is no price increase. It's been $19,888 Canadian for a long time, and the U.S. pricing is just a reflection of exchange rate differences.

AFAIK, there never was a projected Solo price of $11.5k. Are you conflating the Solo with the Arcimoto?

The SOLO’s original target MSRP was $19,800 CAD and $15,400 US range, so they are surprisingly close to their target price Still a good option loaded value, particularly with the matched up to $1K max reservation deposits on other vehicles. Less disappointing than Arcimoto’s missed ($11,900 base) by rolling out the fully optioned Evergreen Edition ($19,900). However, Understandable when a company is burning through cash at the start of production. Elio would have to do the same.

Note: In the early stages of SOLO’s development there was a Rob King concept render of the SOLO Twinn (2 seater) and a SOLO Cargo.

Yes, I got it confused with the Arcimoto! :confused2: Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry Rickb I got the pricing all mixed up with your FUV base price!

Ha! Arcimoto never said they were sorry about marketing $11,900 FUV’s for a decade, and rolling out $19,900 FUV’s. I think Arcimoto tore a page out of Tesla Motors Model 3 release playbook. ElectraMeccannica came in much closer to include AC, which was listed as a $1K option in the beginning.

Well Rickb, at the very least, you won't have to guess no more as to how much you're paying. I on the other hand won't know until I get that important e-mail on the final price, color choice and A/C option.

Well, my PriusC battery went out, so I upgraded to a Corolla, and lost 10mpg. So, while I can now only average up to 45mpg on the highway commute, overall I average about the standard of 33mpg in mixed city/highway. So I'm still looking at the Solo on that financial basis, on parts of my drive when I'm a lone. Workdays it's around 2.5gal/day so $7 in fuel - 24days = $168/mo. Weekends adds $60.
So total fuel is $230/mo, maybe a little more, lets say $250.
If I finance at $19k at around 6% for 4 years, it's nearly $400/mo in payments and $20 in gap insurance. So is $170/mo worth it to me? I've not decided on a go-ahead yet. The math supported a $10k financed Elio at 3x my mileage, by just a hair.

AriLea, The SOLO Sig Series/Limited Edition MSRP US $16,250. Use your Elio $1K match reservation brings your cost down to $15,250.

I wish I OWN a business....then I can OWN a SOLO! That's what EMV's catering right now. Poor reservation holders like us have to wait indefinitely for deliveries to arrive. :( And my poor CR-V's burning more oil right now....had to change oil weight but it's still good for another year or so.

I would be disappointed if ‘retail deliveries’ were being made out of order in which they were placed. The early supporters deserve their due respect. However, based on previous CEO, “my way or the highway” customer relations behavior, it’s not surprising. Lousy customer relations was the main reason I cancelled my White Hot SOLO #129 reservation due to lack of trust in EMV’s customer service should I experience a problem after taking delivery. With that said Dealerships may be easier to work with than EMV directly.
