I have hope for future Elio reservationists only. I’m just waiting on this multi-talented, productive, happy looking A Team to build FUV Evergreen Editon #19. Also, it’s reassuring to know exactly where Arcimoto’s CEO is, that’s him in the driver’s seat.

Man, my face is red :oops::eek: to those that liked my previous post, MagicDragon, ehwatt and Maurtis I apologise, but its a good thing that Transport Canada regs and me being broke could have saved me some grief. I'm saddened because I was looking forward to getting that electric mini-pickup. Through this board: https://visforvoltage.org/ I learned a lot more about ZEV. Bad rep among the aircraft industry over promised engine kits that never arrived etc. Convictions, false bankruptcy and this most recent: https://www.wvnews.com/morgantownne...cle_9f7f6d4d-92bb-5163-98ec-15e8fac6598e.html
and so on...https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Z_Electric_Vehicle#/References .
A shame really, I really liked the idea, and getting away from all the engine breakdowns;
https://www.zelectricvehicle.com/t3--pickup
Like on that damn G5 of mine. I thought I was going to have to buy a new engine control module, but the problem was no ground. So instead of 1500CDN, it cost me 332CDN and most of that was labour plus towing to my favourite garage, then to a GM dealer (another 100 total) because only they can program the damn things. Then there are other things, like the starter motor and having to change the entire ignition block when something frells up inside it. On disability, I can't afford anything put out by Detroit-Windsor...Oakville-Oshawa or wherever GM builds their crap, so the T3 pickup was my best choice [or maybe the 5D].
On YouTube, everything from his page of videos looked so good;
https://www.youtube.com/user/MegaDhz/videos .

So I guess I'll stick to what's available on this side of the border, what ever that may be, perhaps when I get a couple of grand put away, I'll take the Pontiac Pursuit G5 in for remedial bodywork and painting. When ready for another bike, go to Tehran-to {3 hours away} and get either a Piaggio MP3 or one of the leftover KYMCO {who builds the engines for BMW's maxiscooter line} MyRoad 700i (s) at StudioCycle. Can't drive a regular bike any more, neuropathy <SP?> in feet from Type-2, can't feel the shifter through a boot or proper riding shoe. So maxi-scooters or Honda's DCT are it for now.
So.....Sorry!
:frusty:
:focus: ???

After the recent announcement that certification compliance testing was successfully completed, I expect delivery as soon as the filed paperwork is processed for the official FMVSS tag release and #19 rolls off the assembly line. “Stay tuned”. I’ll post a photo after I take delivery to end the Elio Owner’s Arcimoto Thread. It’s an edge of your seat moment. :)

The validation testing process that followed the beta builds and the 15 engineering vehicles sent off to the various private testing labs was a 10+ month long process for both the FUV and the SOLO. It would likely take the same amount of time for the Elio to certify following EM’s finalized engineering specs to include the engine, beta builds for test drive events and daily use testing, and the 15+ engineering vehicles for lab testing required to certify the retail production model role out milestone. One would assume EM’s factory would be tooled, employees hired/trained, and parts inventoried during the lengthy validation testing time frame. Apparently it’s not that easy to get a three wheeler motorcycle to production.

A realist’s note: If Arcimoto is forced to file for bankruptcy during their cash burn production start period and the economy continues in the current downward spiral, then my Evergreen Edition #16 delivery date moves to the 12th of Never and that’s a long, long time.

It would/will be great news if/when Arcimoto gets #19 delivered to you!

<edit - changed #16 to #19>

I was apparently trying to cut in line with #16...........I’m waiting on #19. :)
We can't wait to see a picture of you being handed the key to your very own Evergreen Edition! It looks like EMV hit a snag because there's no new shipments of SOLO 2.0 at their China assembly plant and whatever it is they won't admit if it's tariff problems, funding problems, production line problems, etc. And "aging" reservation holders are the ones left to ponder how much more time they have to wait to get their 3wheelers. Been there, done that so no surprises here. ;)
