I'll be like you. Drive and then order my vehicle. Since FUV makes me spend thousands for a test drive and have no service centers in the area, I'll have to pass until they do. Cybertruck seems to be more of something realistic that I can drive when it's 10 deg F, snowing and 40 mph gusts. I will go after a FUV if they can meet those driving conditions, allow me to test drive it without me spending a few grand to travel to the one dealer that has a 4 hour per week test drive allotment and have a place to get it fixed when it breaks down that doesn't require me to send it 2000 miles. I do like going to the Keys but if all FUV's are rented out (which is a 100% chance they will be) I'll have to wait until November or February to go there and see for myself. This is unless the FUV has AC and enclosed with roll down windows. I'm not like you youngsters, I want some luxury when I'm spending money for that FUV. Florida downpours and then the sun coming back out where it's a steambath is no fun in the summer. FUV AC is what I want. Not being glued to a seat.

Also, is there a FUV ski rack? I'll need one from them when I need to go up to the Poconos and that's about 40 miles away for a good ski slope. Will the FUV do that round trip running the heat in the winter?
So many questions. LOL FUVs have been in your neck of the woods for convenient/no cost test drive opportunities. Like you, I’m OLD and require luxury when I need it, so my FUV will serve as a supplement to my luxury SUV, same as the Elio, when it crosses the retail production start line in 2021. The current owners driving FUV’s in similar environment conditions you mention, like the open air ride, typical to three wheel motorcycles. You can use the Surfboard rack for your ski’s and hauling a sheet of plywood from the big box store if needed, since the FUV seamlessly transforms from a FUN to Utility vehicle application.......and you thought it was just a weekend toy. When you thought it couldn’t get any better........AC will be available as a future option! If you experience bad weather conditions or range anxiety drive your primary luxury vehicle and or Cybertruck. FUVs may be available in your area for test drives in 2020 based on successful production scale plans. I doubt it meets your needs based on your comments.

Regarding Service centers, Arcimoto’s recent partnership announcement with Road America is as good or better than EM’s and PepBoys partnership.

Do you keep calling it "Cybertrakk" to be different, or do you think that is the name of the Cybertruck? Just curious. I know the logo was stylized but AFAIK the Cybertruck is still the Cybertruck.
Just kidding, it was named the Cybertruck! The logo tried and successfully in my opinion to exaggerate it's WEDGY design element. It was genious!

Sounds like to me that you are talking a lot about the future and what FUV will be doing. Even this Road America is a goal for FUV. I wanted to see a statement that says, "In 2020 FUV will team up with Road America." That way it's fact and not a forward looking statement. I do know that with Road America and other services, it's a monthly subscription, thus you'll need to pay for peace of mind. Hopefully FUV allows FUV owners to use this for free as to paying extra. I already have AAA, so paying for two services seems like a waste of money especially for a fair weather vehicle that I can't drive right now if I wanted.

AC will be a future option. Yet something down the road at a mysterious release date. Same for the enclosure. I wonder when they will be actual options that I can get on my FUV. I will not consider one until they have that done. Obviously there will be a slew of questions when it comes to that. Things like, "What is my range when I run the heat or AC?" Then, "How much does it cost? If an evergreen costs $20K, then full enclosure and AC must drive the price up more. Again, we have to wait for when the future is here. Will the Cybertruck make it to production before FUV fulfills these forward looking statements?

It has The 80's type font. The design of the truck looks like it would have been in Robocop. At least Elon had the guts to do something much different as opposed to making it look like every other truck. At least there's already a Cybertruck Owners Club Forum.

I wonder if Paul is just sitting at home, sipping tea (or something) and drawing sketches of different ideas for a future product. Perhaps he will re-design on of his seats into a full recliner for viewing a roof wide display on a fully autonomous vehicle. Something comfortable enough to fall asleep in while traveling. Laying down might also make the vehicle more aerodynamic with an auto lower roof.

Probably having Starbucks and cookies, he needs to get off his ass fire up the welder and start honoring reservations instead of sketching! Lol

That market is already been saturated. This company makes an autonomous unit that you just lay down in and can sleep all while it takes you to your destination.

Do you think I made the “partnership” statement up? :) It was another one of Arcimoto’s many planning goals.........Milestone met.

I’ll limit any future FUV updates to the Arcimoto thread, limit the number of updates if any, and avoid debate. I understand the FUvehicle is no Elio, but may be of interest to some new three wheeler vehicle fans, whether it meets their individual needs or not. I only wish Elio Motors retail production track record was similar to Arcimoto’s start slow and scale production roll out.

I don’t think Paul Elio is necessarily a coward...my term to describe Paul Elio is “Delusional”!

Paul has never been so associated with a successful business venture...why did he think this was going to be different?

I use the term “Delusional” to describe his marketing BS... Paul told dozens of lies throughout the Elio Motors saga... actually...very little of what he ever said was factual...

“Delusional“ is when a company leases a huge manufacturing facility years before they have any kind of product...

“Delusional” is spending $150 million over a ten-year period...and still not have any finished and specification validated prototypes...

“Delusional” is designing a product that had to be completely re-engineered by numerous outside firms...

“Delusional” is the paying yourself a large salary by collecting non-refundable deposit from your potential customers...

“Delusional” is believing that a fantasy cryptocurrency named “Elio Coin” is going to save your company from failure...

“Delusional” is a CEO that disappears from public view while his shareholders wait years for answers...

....
Perfect.
