I don't know if the build team read anything on this site, but they should. I think there should be another tab for input to Elio motors as to any ideas we may have. I was thinking that the fenders and front wheels may be a problem seeing them at night. So why not have on top of the fenders dual eagle eye type Led's? They would be dim when the headlights are on but go bright when turn signals are on. Amber looking forward and red looking to the rear. Also with the turn signals as part of the headlight assembly they will be hard to see when headlights are on due to the close proximity to the headlight. Maybe a cob type Led strip on the fenders? Just a thought.

I believe the subject of lights on fenders have been discussed in great length already. Do a search on "fender lights" you will find lots of discussions.
Greycat, Thanks for the friendly, helpful way you put this.
I am exploring the possibility of adding fender lights, both front and back, to some degree for safety, when I receive my Elio.

Being a veteran motorcycle rider, be seen by other drivers is utmost importance to me. I will have some sort of marker(be it lights, reflectors or ?) on the fenders of my Elio.

I think that is just smart. Led's are getting down right cheap if you know where to look. I will also be adding an "air horn" with a seperate button on the dash. For around $50 it's a "no brainer." Saved me a few times when I had my scooter. Also put one on a GMC sonoma...I HAD to! Bright red wasn't good enough. People in their big SUV's.....
