LOL...Hey, I'm just glad to have a number and at only 250/day, I'll get mine 12 days after you get yours so you'll have to gloat fast. Personally, it'll be nice when you start to gloat because that'll mean I'll be getting mine soon. Hey, maybe they'll have the bugs worked out by then.
And I should get mine a day or two before you so we can all celebrate together.

I am just a few days before you and Ty, but you guys are too far from me to celebrate with you in person.
As production begins I'm certain we will be congratulating those who took delivery of their Elio's and we will celebrate via the forum. Ty and I are close enough that we can drive half the distance between us and meet Socorro, NM and have a steak at K-Bob's or a burger at the brewery.

With 250+ being completed each day there will be lots of Elioers that will take delivery from the factory, staying the two nights and the day before tour. I for one, am planning on this.

Day 1 - fly in and check into hotel that evening.
Day 2 - Factory tour.
Day 3 - Take delivery of my Elio and drive away on an extended vacation, with cross country drive.

I expect it to be spring 2016 at the earliest, but if funding is further delayed it could be much later. Let's hope not, but be prepared anyway.

I will withhold my decision on going to factory to pickup my Elio rather than having it delivered here in New Mexico. I will have to consider time/distance/cost/convenience in my decision process. Let's see after productions begins if there is some announcement about some "package" deal to come to the factory and pick up your Elio to override those considerations.

I thought everyone met at "The Hat"... Or at least they used to.

I much prefer a manual tranny, but the "no matter the milage" part makes the question unreasonable. if it got 30 mpg manual vs 84 automatic I'd have to suck it up and buy the auto wouldn't I? Or the other way 'round. That raises the question of just how much efficiency we'd be willing to sacrifice to have our preferred transmission. Since the whole reason for the Elio is to cut down my commute cost I'd be forced to go with the highest mpg option, plus or minus a couple mpg.
