Don't leave Eddie, you didn't want to leave when things were going your way. Is the HEAT in the kitchen toooooooo hot? LOL
Wayne,
Do you ever put your brain in gear before putting your fingers in motion?? To imply that things are not going my way, would indicate you think the announcement of another delay mean that things are now going your way, would it not? I'm happy for you that a portion of the negativity you have been spreading all this time, has in your twisted thought process, been validated. Too bad it only cost you $1000 to prove what you think is your point. I still believe Elio will bring this vehicle to market, I still believe I will own one. The part I feel is a waste of time, is listening to folks like yourself, try to convince the members of this forum that the whole process is a hoax perpetrated by Paul Elio. Yes, I feel deceived that the funding information was not shared with the people affected by it, at the time it was known by Elio, but that's apparently how they choose to do business. I'm sure that decision will cost them future reservations as word of it spreads, making it tougher for him to acheive his goal. My take on it, is his obsession to maintain majority share in his company rather than seek outside investments, has cause of his financial shortfall. I'm sure his now plan B, will aquired the funds to continue, but we will all pay the price for that, in the extended wait. In the mean time, I'll put the exhaust fan on so my kitchen doesn't get too hot.

Like I was saying before, it's all about time. He didn't like saying it, that is for sure. I find it a good thing that they had changed their self-funding method 3 months ago. The Gov Loan was always a second track to this. The Equipment added with private funding was the other.

The only thing I'm wondering is why they need the full 240mil upfront to get going. I hope they report from time-to-time the progress, how much is left.
My frustration is... hearing about the loan issue or stating it as the cause of the delay when Elio reps stated that they didn't need the loan yet. They said they had enough funds to start production. Little things like this fuel the con and conspiracy theorists while deflating the enthusiasm of us that still believe. Then the negative messages fly.

I still have hope. I feel that the Elio team has so much hope and enthusiasm that they sometimes state things as fact based on their belief that it will be so.

I have follow this forum for many many months. I can no longer be quite any more.

Please be careful to put Mr. Elio on a platform. He is a buisnessman. He wants to make money and will do what ever needs to be done to make money. You can all say he is open, but remember he is there to make money. Plan and simple.

As for the suppliers that are involved in this project, from day one everyone has told Mr. Elio he needs to pay to play in this field. Supplier do not work for free as most companies in the world Do Not Work For Free.

The ATVM loan seemed to be a win on initial approval of application. However, then it was sort of downplayed. I have a feeling now heads are buried in the process to get that ATVM further in the process towards approval. We do not have any insight to where Elio is now - developing the engine was not cheap and may have capitulated a lot of the funds. It was such a nice WOW and Ahhhh when the engine press release was made but this delay - from a PR perspective sure sours things a bit and fuels the naysayers. I'm all in - I can afford to wait... I hope Elio Motors can put it all together - clearly they need some big $$$ injection here. If the ATVM loan is a no-go or partial I bet they can find investors. But the cost of that money may deminish the already tight margins on a $6800 projected priced car. Investment capital is probably available but passes down a lot of costs to the buyers so the $7k car becomes an $8500 car because of the cost of the money. Ok this is just a ramble and rant I don't know everything about these sort of things - a bit frustrating sure - but I still think this things is more likely now than it was a year ago. Let's start this engine and see who and how the $$$ come in. Hopefully we get better news in the next 90 days or so around Elio's startup capital. Ok thanks for letting me vent ;)
