Hi Michael,
Over the months, we've seen articles from "Master Herald" and "Air Herald". You can pretty much ignore / not read those articles, they have mistakes in them all the time. This is a big one.
...Can it be correct? It states the Elio will start shipping pre-orders 3 days after the engine is 1st fired on Feb 6th. I was under the impression that production was pushed out again to sometime next year.

Thanks for sharing EC, but yeah, Master Herald sounds similar to Air Herald, which is not accurate or legitimate, i.e. they say things that are not true. The title is "Elio Motors Continuing with Application for $185 Million Federal Loan!", and then "reports have it that ... already gone through...
Yeah, I read this last night too, but I sure would like to get confirmation of the truth of this from a more reputable source. Hope it is true, but these guys never cite their sources and have had more "stories" with less "content" than virtually anyone. "Reports say..." is pretty weak evidence...

The article at this link said the Elio has passed three stages of review. That sounds good. I wonder how many stages must be meet for the loan.
The article is not bad, they are not to positive on the issue of safety.
I seriously doubt they have any more info on the loan than we already have heard.
If this is accurate, it's the best news we've had in a long time.
