You are right about orders, you have to place those on-line, but you do arrange for test drives from the mall locations, at least here in Phoenix you do. I went with a friend on his test drive in 2015.
That goes both ways... I was here in the beginning, All-in, stock purchased, etc... Now I wonder why some of you continue to be strung along on a product that has a snowballs chance of ever being produced. I check in occasionally to see if someone finally got the lights on the way out. Life does...
I wonder if the Shreveport Hummer plant was even considered for this investment:

Good to see the Elio is still having some legislative wins for autocycles if nothing else. I'm ok with my deposit/stock losses going towards a t-shirt, a sticker, and this. :D
So Elio is going to shake the magical blockchain juju stick and make $350m appear... right. Someone should dust off a spot between Elgin and Elite on the old wall of shame.
It wasnt for his lack of trying. I don't hold any grudge against Paul. These things fail a lot more often than they succeed. Anyone who thought this was a guaranteed thing is being quite foolish. I'm out about $2K in stock and $1K in deposits. I didnt invest more than I could afford to lose. I...
Penultimate:
adjective
1. next to the last:
the penultimate scene of the play.
Does this mean we are going to get one more thought on the topic, or is someone misusing the word 'penultimate' again?
I did get the Enhanced Auto Pilot feature on mine, but not the Full Self Driving package. At this point, I'm not sure that was a wise investment of $5K. I do use the adaptive cruise occasionally, but I am way too paranoid to use autopilot for more than short demos to friends. Tesla does need to...
I am biased as a Model S owner, but I am amazed by what Tesla has accomplished so far. Over 200K cars produced internationally. A solid charger network. An award winning car and extremely safe for occupants. This despite car dealerships blocking them and unions trying to sabotage their...
Is the Elio chassis design finalized? Does the engine meet the design specs? I think the Elio price point of $8K hinged on a large demand and an ability to get 250K vehicles pumped out a year. You might be profitable to sell 1K or so a year at $30K, but demand would be zero for the version that...
I think this clip says it best...
These rich suckers know how to make money on success and failure. It would not surprise me one bit if there is some tax advantage to investing in a company that's going to tank. While we're playing checkers, they're playing chess.
Sorry if I somehow implied I would be in attendance. I canceled my SRK/Solo/Model 3 reservations months ago as I have already blown my wad on a Model S. I'm sure the internet will provide many details by Nov 12th.
I'm happy to see progress on any front. One thing I really do not care for on the SRK is how you have to straddle the battery box. I realize its necessary, but I don't like it.
Arcimoto just sent me an invite to their manufacturing plant grand opening on the 11th of Nov. They are also receiving their first big equipment purchase, the sheet metal cutting laser. I am about to put them "officially*" ahead of Elio in the race to production.
*my "officially" means nothing...
I have an X 100D out in the driveway at this moment. It is a loaner while they replace the window (rock chip) on my S 75D. Both cars are amazing.
I think this sums it up:
Eh? I asserted nothing of the sort. Arcimoto doesn't get to use the "autocycle" classification EXACTLY because Elio's definition is quite specific, to the exclusion of damn near everything else. I think the public would have been better served with a simple "2 occupants, 3 wheels...
