The whole point of the Elio is, to stay away as long as you can from greedy Oil companies and buying their gasoline and still enjoy the comfort of a car. Either you (plural) are part of the problem or part of the solution. I am with Elio, to be part of the solution, how about it?
I thought the whole idea about Elio is to save money, with low fuel consumption and a low purchasing price, NOT feeding oil companies and greedy bankers with usury fees.
You'll never to old to be silly or even funny. Once you lose your sense of humor you'll might as well be dead, keep it up. Even God has a sense of humor - to put up with us.:)
Interesting application. Unless this system can be controlled by voice recognition. The more distractions you have from keeping your eyes on the road, can be an "accident" in the making.
There are always those with ulterior motives, especially if the are in the small car market. Any potential newcomer, like Elio, might be considered by some, a serious threat. After all, greed and money are companions and a great motivator.
As of this writing, Chrysler is now owned by FIAT of Italy. I read somewhere that Elio might get their Fiat 500 drive train with several motor sizes available. It would also give Elio instant access to all North American Chrysler dealerships for Sales and Service. As I said, just a rumor but...
This would be a toss-up between having to pay the bank for a car loan (if you qualify) or paying higher gas prices on the pumps. One reason why many still drive their "old tank". However, for a big country like ours, big cars are preferred for their ride, comfort and safety which becomes more...
I agree. I also like the front P3 "Torpedo" over a P4 "Bean" design. But at this point, it does not matter. What matters, to get this vehicle on the market a.s.a.p.
Elio is NOT to replace an SUV or 4X4. I keep my Jeep Grand Cherokee and would use the Elio only to commute on Snow free streets. But even in winter, most roads and highway's are plowed and pretty good to drive on, at least here in the north with temperatures in the -30F.
There is a saying: Some people like look a "gifted horse" in the mouth. If Elio Motors can keep close to the advertised price of $6800, it would be close enough to a gifted horse, compared to any other manufacturers, with a much higher price for any similar product.
Not everyone retired has a BIG nest egg or nest egg at all. To travel nowadays in a big country is expensive, even to go to work, if you still work. Elio Motors has the answer for the young and older generation.
