What a shame. In retrospect the power plant should have been electric or an established small petrol engine, which is where it actually began. I still have two small cars powered by the original type of engine, the Suzuki/Geo G10A three cylinder, 993cc.
3wheelin,
Thanks. I’m not working atm, due to this virus induced slowdown. But the advantage is that I’ve finally got around to fitting a modified cylinder head and reworked cam to the supercharged Suzuki G10A engine in my Liege. I’m hoping to get it all put back together in the next few days...
I just checked in again after a very long absence. I’m very sad to see no-one ever actually got a car, especially those who put money up front. As I suspected from early on in this sorry saga, the financial supporters here paid for big salaries of executives and advertising but from a practical...
Yes, looking for more power - but no mistake on my part. I wasn't looking for efficiency (no point in fitting a supercharger if I was) but the packaging of the engine I'm talking about couldn't be more different to that which Suzuki designed it for (it's not the other one I mentioned, which is...
There's no need to go for a fancy intake manifold. The G10 cylinder head has the injector mounts already partly cast into the inside of the intake ports and if you put a finger in each you can feel where they just need drilling right through. The turbo version uses the same head casting and a...
Meanwhile, the little Suzuki Swift 1.0 litre, 3 cylinder, four wheeler that I bought four years ago (for the equivalent of about US $1300) still goes on and on, reliable as an atomic clock. Anyone remember that superb little engine? A pity Elio couldn't have used it instead of developing a very...
Having read through some recent posts from various folk, I am impressed (and really surprised) how patiently most of you have been waiting for even a sniff of a real "production" car.
It's been quite some time since I logged in to this forum, at least a couple of years. I thought I'd see how the Elio project is looking.
I'm very sorry to have to say that it's not looking good. I always thought that Paul Elio had set his sights too high; I wish he'd built a few cars to get...
Sorry, my friend.
Moderators should show total impartiality and this appears to be not the case here. Good luck with the little three wheeler. I hope it comes to fruition despite all the setbacks suffered so far.
I'm out.
Goofy, your sadness is felt here too, even though I'm not a cat person (they make me asthmatic and many years ago I had an anaphylactic reaction to one my father brought home in his briefcase).
I can only suggest that you mourn for a while but go out and find another cat needing a good home...
