IF you're serious, I'd visit 4WD groups and post your questions. Most there will give you honest input, and you'll probably find several who're actually using what you're looking for and have questions about.. Just my two cents..
I've built a few stock cars over the Years, rebuilt street cars, as well as rolling cage to track ready. But, nothing I've done is as impressive as what you're doing here. As has been noted, I may end up being one of your customers once you're ready for production!
I'm glad to say I follow...
My commute is 75 miles round trip. A lot of hills between me and work. Cold weather reduces electric mileage significantly. Even if it were only a commuter, it really won't work for me. Give me the ICE I signed up for please..
Amazing work you're doing! For the record, a manual transmissioin is fine with me! I'm old enough now that I've bought my "retirement truck". Due to what's available, it's the first automatic transmission vehicle, of any kind, that I've bought strictly for myself.. I will gladly put up with...
Just a thought, but, based on last Years meeting, and the numbers listed, couldn't two or three of the listed share holders take over and produce the product??
Surely they'd be willing to take the final step and produce in order to regain their investment!
Unless they priced it out of my range, or built a shadow of the potential, Yes I'd buy it.. I'd work what I've spent based on the image of the Elio, along with my "Z" into the appearance of it as well..
I'm in until I'm driving mine, or wishing they had been made before the Company closed. As long as it has some pep to it, I wouldn't care if it only got 50 mpg, or cost Ten Thousand. I still love the concept, and I'm not getting any younger. One day I'll have to face reality and trade my...
For now, I'd settle for knowing they were testing what has already been produced. Proof of concept type, forward moving, actual productivity, with what is available...
I bought a 2005 Victory Ness Kingpin signature series to tide me over. I will be adding a windshield on it as soon as I decide which one I want. I also am all in and have bought stock. I still hope to have me Elio, but until then I still have joy in my life!!
My two cents. I actually like the fact the weekly feedbacks are focusing on the "nuts and bolts" Elio is comprised of. The changes and modifications are positive and forward moving changes. I love the idea we're getting a peek at the "grease under your nails" stuff.
I actually wish they'd...
IMO, while the SEC filing doesn't look good for the future, it also isn't allowed to include speculative monies from alternative sources. While the ATVM loan can be discussed, as it's a publicly known part of this ride, we can only hope it moves (finally) forward.
There are things going on...
The dry teeth for timing belts wear, just like the teeth on the gears of an oil bathed timing chain. "If" the teeth for the belt wear smooth enough on either edge, the belt could/will slip. With todays interference motors, it probably would be fatal.
Oh where to start. I've had a lot of strange things happen. From the "bad thump" in the rear end that ended up being a bowling ball rolling around in the trunk, to The "bad burning smell", which was a cooked snake on the exhaust manifold.
My own Mother used to laugh when her dog "marked"...
