I've seen several around here in southern New Mexico but don't know anyone here who owns one. We get a lot of classic, unusual, and antique vehicles driving through the area.
I was hoping to tow my Elio behind my motorhome at least a year ago. I had to buy a tow vehicle so I bought a 2016 Chevy Equinox. Decent car and tows well but must have the most uncomfortable seats of any car on the market
Waiting patiently since Oct 7, 2013 and not getting any younger. Not I hardly even check out the Elio Owners site. If it ever happens it will be an unexpected treat.
I lived in Europe for 9 years and I don't know a single Brit, German, or Italian that only put 3K miles per year on their car. Everyone I knew put many more miles on their vehicles.
James W.H. Welcome from sunny New Mexico and another old guy (72) who has been waiting since 2013. It is currently a "crap shoot" between the arrival of the Elio or the Grim Reaper. Still hanging in there for my Elio and hope you do to. Enjoy the experience and the wait with the rest of us.
Paul has done a great job in creating an unique vehicle but he needs to find a way to get it to market before a similar inferior vehicle is produced that takes Elio's market and the long term Elio supporters die of old age.
