Elio Configurator Seems To Be Down

Just tried the configurator and it's up at the moment.

Agreed, this forum is now officially a NAZ zone.

    Factory Pick Up

Just had a thought about this. Does that federal law apply to automobiles and motorcycles equally? Technically the Elio is still a motorcycle so maybe there's different rules to apply.

    Reservations: 65341 As Of 6/20/2017

I've seen the tv ad a few times, usually real early in the morning. So far only on NBC Sports network.

Jeff Johnson Interview - Autoline After Hours #347 - 9/16/16

If they split the list so they can work on one trans equipped version and delay production of the other version they're gonna have a hell of a lot of pissed off reservation holders. They've always offered the choice, so I really think SIL numbers will be honored as set up now, there will be...

Jeff Johnson Interview - Autoline After Hours #347 - 9/16/16

How can they do that if the first 200 $1000 All-In reservations are 60% automatic?

What's Your Production Number? - Share You Number With Everyone On This Thread!

I wonder if EM has any early indications of how many former GM plant workers are still in the Shreveport area and interested in going back to work there for Elio? If they get a decent number of former GM workers it seems like that would help with the learning curve quite a bit down on the...

    6. Sneak five extra people into the drive-in theater by hiding them in the trunk.

    Manufacturing Rate

The consistent appearance of a high number of employee vehicles in the plant parking lot. I'll bet the folks running the plant are going to contact former employees from when GM was there to see if they'd like their old job back but with a new vehicle and new company signing the paychecks.

    The Elio Automatic Transmission

Just curious where you found a 66 Celica since it started into production in 1970.

    Saved Configurator Files Misnamed...

If you save a configuration via the configurator be aware that currently the file name generated isn't quite correct. It's putting the current date into the filename using months numbered from 0-11 instead of 1-12. -rw-r----- 1 berg berg 44588 Jun 1 07:34 myElioConfig1-5-2016.elio -rw-r-----...

    Locked-in Poll

I'm already certain I want the Elio, locking in to get a $200 bump in the base price instead of $500 is pretty much a no-brainer.

    Wheels

Are they basing the 90% on line item count, cost, or weight? Depending on how they calculate that percentage could change the value of the wheels write a bit I'd think.

Too bad they couldn't spell Elio correctly.

    Stock Price Stabilized?

That seems to be its price at the moment, I'm betting that once the tests progress and there's more press about tangible progress the price will go up. Once there's Elios in consumer hands on the road I'd guess there'll be another bump up in stock price.

    Financing Your Elio

Maybe, but since some states consider it's a motorcycle you'd have to get a motorcycle loan which at some banks is a completely different set of loan rules. I'm putting away a couple hundred a month into a savings account and I've bought a small number of shares. My plan is once the Elios are...

You've Just Gotten Your Elio What Do You Do First?

Check out the P-5 marlin in the new building. My dad flew that exact plane when he was in. He's still got log books with the tail number listed.
