Correct, its just took another $900:)
Like others, I am taking the risk of losing my deposit if Elio fails and the vehicle never makes it to production. Not worried about being in the 21,000's, all of the "bugs" should be ironed out by that time.
I see one of 3 scenarios in regards to Elio Motors;
1)Elio Motors gets the loan and production will eventually begin.
2)Elio Motors closes the doors due to lack of funds
3)Elio Motors assets and intellectual property rights get purchased by another company for pennies on the dollar after Elio...
Paul Elio's company may be in jeapardy and the Elio may never see the light of day. Form your own opinions...

Fresh article on Jalopnik states Elio has $100k in the bank and is $123 million in debt and the vehicle is unlikely to see production. Paul Elio is supposedly drawing a 1/4 million dollar salary per year. Read more here and form your own opinion...
I feel the AVERAGE consumer needs to see an Elio on the street and test drive one before they place an order. They will see one on the freeway or at a traffic light and THEN head down to their local Elio dealer out of curiosity.
The amount of Elio's that could be sold to college students alone...
I just returned from the LA auto show and had to check out the Elio booth. My first impressions? Tall people will fit with no problem, it looked great in person, it looks 75% production ready and loved the Viper steering wheel. The cabin was nice and roomy inside. A guy ahead of me was 6' 10'...
Realistically, I would say 1st or 2nd quarter of 2018. LOTS of work left to do until the Elio factory is tooled up and Elio's start production on the assembly line..
Elio still has a lot of work to do and 12-months go QUICK. I honestly don't see these being sold to the public until 2018. I want this vehicle as bad as all the forum members do but I feel thats a realistic timeframe.
Another thing they need to consider are the transport vehicles from th LA factory to across the country to dealerships. Current transporters are designed around cars, not a 3-wheel vehicle like the Elio. Much narrower front wheels, etc.
With a top speed of 100mph and a 55hp engine I don't see any mention of ABS brakes as standard equipment. I do see stability control/traction control mentioned on the website, but nothing about ABS brakes(?)
