There is a video somewhere of the P3 doing a slalom through cones, It looked to be doing okay for a prototype. The few real world reviews of driving the P4 seem to indicate that it handles fine, if not a little rough around the edges because, you know, it is a prototype after all. It will be...
I went to their website, but I couldn't find the proposed retail center map. Last time I saw it though, the proposed center was up off of York Rd, just inside the beltway. I think there is a Lexus dealership there, and Ruck Funeral home.
These are good questions, I don't really know the answers. I know some of the big auto companies are starting to use the same composite on their vehicles. My old insight was some sort of composite for most of the body panels, but I never had to repair it. I would think most body shops are used...
I saw these new when I bought my motorcycle in '08. They come in a crate, some assembly required. The salesman said they had to make the shop guys stop riding them around the parking lot because they were having too much fun and putting too many miles on them.
I don't have a Can-Am but I do have a motorcycle and have come across a few Can-Ams. Every owner I've talked to loves it, but then again, a lot like the Elio, it's going to attract people that are into it in the first place. They look to be exceptionally well made, I've sat on a few and they are...
I've noticed a turn in Elio's response time these days. They reconfigured the facebook page, and now they are responding to a lot more posts, like it's someone's sole job is to sit around and respond to every inane question posted to Facebook. Which is good, it shows they are engaged. You sent...
Whoa now, a Tech Talk that actually got a little technical, with numbers and such? Crazy.
Good on them for putting all in one place for easy reference.
Current CAFE standards don't apply to motorcycles, or the 'Autocycles.' Also current CAFE standards apply apply fleet wide regardless of how many units are sold. As an example, if Ford's Mustang gets 22 avg mpg, and they sell 10,000 units, and Ford's Focus electric gets 110 mpge, and they only...
I hadn't thought of it that way, that's some good spin.
I just wish they would actually be a little technical with their tech talks. I prefer the press releases where they show a half baked casting of the engine block. Some grinder sparks flying off the frame of the P5 would be nice to.
That's a very cool idea. I hope it works out. And Elio can use any damn engine they want, AFTER they get the ball rolling on what they have already designed.
