Hello Elio’ers! This week’s tour blog is coming from the very exciting stop that is the Albuquerque International BALLOON FIESTA! That is exactly what it is, a fiesta. With over one million people attending the event over the course of the week, it was hard to keep up with all of the folks coming in and out of our booth. Definitely not from a lack of effort, our days were long starting as early as 4:30 am! The early mornings paid off. We saw everything from Darth Vader to Smokey the Bear, and even a Flying Pig! BTW…the pilots of “When Pigs Fly” are reservation holders too! Check out our event recap video.
As always, the highlight of our trip was meeting some of our fantastic #futureliowners. Karla and Jeff drove nearly 300 miles to come see us at the Balloon Fiesta. They live in El Paso, where Karla has been chatting up the Elio for over a year now to all her co-workers and Jeff is on board too. Karla sprinted over when she spotted the display and could barely contain herself as she hopped inside to check it out for herself. After photos were taken, questions were answered, and balloons were launched…."What balloons? We came to see the Elio!".... Jeff and Karla jumped “All In" and reserved their place at the highest priority level of reservation holders. When asked what they liked best about the Elio, Karla exclaimed "Everything! The whole thing!" Jeff said, "Definitely the price. You can't beat the Bang for the Buck."
