It DOES NOT say Elio has the $185 million. The article states what Paul already said several weeks ago, that Elio has cleared the initial hurdle on the way to the DOE loan guarantee.

Once again, read with care and DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

We think they might have done it for lack of any other crowd stirring-news about the loan.

OK. According to the government, what they've passed is:
Certain Manufacturer Requirements.
Financial Viability.
The Project has been deemed a eligible project.

To once and for all clear confusion on one aspect of the loan requirements:
"The applicant must be financially viable without the receipt of additional federal funding for the proposed project other than the atvmlp loan."
