Shrub (Toy)1
Harvick (Bowtie) 2
Kurt Busch (Bowtie) 3

It's just a shame the Stewart-Haas is going to <cough> Fords next year.

Probably a Haas decision
Could be, since Tony is retiring from driving after this year, he'll never have to drive one of the Fords.
Bowyer is taking over his seat; this was all announced before the start of the season.
When asked "why Ford?" the reply is "it was a business decision" (aka BIG box of money)

I was wondering about Teresa Earnhardt, she's been out of the picture for some years now.
No she's not, and is operating in that sweet easygoing personality she displayed after Dale died; in other words, total Bitch

Teresa Earnhardt shows no sign of ending battle over rights to Dale's name

Teresa Earnhardt will not let go. For more than a decade she has fought tooth and nail to retain exclusive use of the family name as executor of the estate of Dale Earnhardt.

Her fight now involves Dale's eldest son, Kerry, who is trying to establish a brand with a homebuilder and a home goods maker. That fight began in 2012. It continues in a federal appeals court.

This family feud is being waged in court, and it's not the first time Teresa has clashed with Dale's heirs.

NASCAR's most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is a massive presence in the sport, with its fans and especially in marketing. No one in stock car racing is more marketable. But until he left Dale Earnhardt Inc., Junior didn't control the rights to his own name. Teresa did, through DEI.

In a 2006 interview with The Charlotte Observer, Junior lamented not owning rights to his name.

"If I didn't have the same name — and I kind of wish I didn't sometimes — I wouldn't have to be worrying about it," he said.

Now, his name, likeness and signature are controlled by his Cup employer, Hendrick Motorsports; and his Xfinity Series operation, JR Motorsports.

Kerry Earnhardt was also a NASCAR driver, albeit neither as successful nor as popular. He ran seven Sprint Cup races, 72 races in what is now the Xfinity Series and 27 in the Truck Series races.

Teresa lost a rights fight against Kerry in March when the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board dismissed her claim. It's ruling: "The opposer [Teresa] did not offer any testimony or evidence that the goods and services in the registrations were related to [Kerry] applicant's goods and services."

Now the case is in the U.S. Court of Appeals. Teresa's claim, according to a statement to ESPN from the law firm representing her:

"The naming of any project called 'Earnhardt Collection' causes confusion as being associated with Dale Earnhardt, as the Dale Earnhardt brands and marks are so diverse across multiple industries and philanthropic causes."

Teresa controls the name "Dale Earnhardt," but according to reports, not the name "Earnhardt." Kerry stands by his claim that his surname is his to use and should not be a reference to his father's name.

SN's Jeff Owens wrote this week:
Earnhardt's hope and dream was that his name and that brand would live on for years after his racing career — much like the Petty name has endured long after Richard Petty ran his last race. That's why Earnhardt built his own race team — Dale Earnhardt Inc. — and why he backed the career of his son, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

But there is no Dale Earnhardt Inc. anymore. And his son, Dale Jr., races for rival Hendrick Motorsports — a move that likely would have never happened had Dale Sr. lived.

And if Teresa Earnhardt, Dale's widow, has anything to say about it, Earnhardt's children will have nothing to do with their father's name and legacy, including the opportunity to profit from it.

Owens concluded with this:
Teresa Earnhardt is supposed to be the caretaker of Earnhardt's name and legacy. Instead, she continues to drag it through the mud.

Dale Earnhardt would not be happy.

Since settlement is impossible, according to Teresa and her factors — Kerry is amenable, by the way — there will be no end to the mud.
